Searches and hosting
Cloudflare hosts the site and processes network information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect requests. We have disabled application request logging and do not maintain a search-history database. Search text can still appear in your browser URL and history. Do not enter confidential information in a business search.
QST checks send the number to Revenu Québec for a transient verification. We do not save the response as a corporate record. Official registry and provider links open external websites with their own privacy practices; your search text is not prefilled there.
Optional Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity
On eligible information pages, accepting analytics loads Google Analytics 4 to measure page use and Microsoft Clarity to understand interaction through masked recordings and heatmaps. They receive technical information, the page address and interaction data. Clarity uses strict masking. We do not send raw searches or business identifiers in analytics events.
No vendor script loads before permission. Pages with forms, search results, company profiles, tax checks, query strings or sensitive referrers are excluded. Advertising storage, Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled. Providers may process information outside Canada under their own terms.
Decline or change your choice through Privacy preferences. The choice is kept in this browser for 180 days. Withdrawing consent stops collection, removes the site’s vendor cookies and reloads the page. Previously collected information is not automatically erased by withdrawal.
Retention and contact requests
GA4 user and event retention is set to two months, without renewal on new activity; this does not limit standard aggregated reports. GA cookies are configured to expire after 180 days without renewal. Microsoft states that Clarity playback is kept for 30 days, while click data, heatmaps and saved or labeled sessions can remain for nine months. We do not intentionally save or label visitor sessions.
Messages sent to hello@entitysearch.ca are forwarded to our Gmail mailbox and retained for handling and relevant follow-up. Include only what is needed. You can ask us to delete your correspondence; any necessary retention will be explained. Public registry data is maintained separately under its source licence. We can correct our display but cannot amend an official government register.
